COURAGE COMES TO YOU

Go Gallop brings Courage, our handcrafted Equicizer, directly to schools, disability services and community organisations for engaging horse-inspired movement, learning and play.

With no live horse, float, arena or equestrian facilities required, Courage can bring a little piece of the horse world into a familiar environment.

Sessions can be adapted to suit the age, abilities, interests and support needs of participants, with opportunities for movement, learning, creativity, communication and — most importantly — fun.

LEARNING THROUGH HORSES

More than just a ride.

A visit from Courage can be much more than sitting on an Equicizer.

Horse-themed activities can be combined with movement, creativity, communication and learning to create an engaging experience around each group's interests and goals.

Participants might explore riding position and balance with Courage, learn about horses and their care, practise practical skills, take part in creative activities or work together through horse-inspired games and challenges.

Activities can be adapted so participants can engage in different ways — whether that's riding Courage, working alongside him or simply joining in with the horse-themed activities.

So many ways to join in.

Not everyone needs to be in the saddle to enjoy a Go Gallop experience.

Depending on the group, age and setting, activities may include:

  • riding and movement activities with Courage

  • making hobby horses from pool noodles

  • hobby-horse games and activity courses

  • learning about the parts of a horse

  • grooming, mane plaiting and horse-care activities

  • horse-themed drawing, colouring and creative activities

  • games that encourage communication and teamwork

  • learning about riding equipment and how it is used

Activities can be mixed and matched to create a session that is engaging, achievable and appropriate for the people taking part.

FLEXIBLE SETUP

Bringing Courage to your space

Courage doesn't require an arena, stable or dedicated equestrian facility. We work with you to identify a suitable space and plan the visit around your participants, venue and program.

Let's talk

Courage comes to you

Time to Gallop

Tell us about your organisation, participants, available space and what you'd like your Go Gallop visit to achieve. Together, we can discuss activities and a format that may suit your group.

We transport Courage to your venue and set up in an agreed suitable space. Because the Equicizer requires no electricity and no live-horse facilities, it can be used in a wide variety of settings.

Julie leads the session, adapting activities to the participants and helping everyone engage in a way that works for them — whether that's on Courage, beside Courage or through one of the horse-inspired activities.

Programs are led by Go Gallop founder Julie Wilson, drawing on her experience across equestrian coaching, disability support, allied health assistance and equine-facilitated learning. Learn more about Julie
